Ashray

Over the years, we have closely witnessed the emotional struggles of ageing parents who worry deeply about their special child’s future. This has been the driving force behind our decision to create a Respite Home, dedicated to caring for their safety, and creating a loving environment where these special adults can live with comfort, care, safety, dignity, and meaningful engagement.

This Respite Home is not just a facility—it is a promise. A promise to families that their loved ones will be cared for with compassion, respect, and a sense of belonging. A promise that they are not alone.

Our journey to take this initiative began with active involvement of our Founder Directors in Suryoday Trust, a respected institution that has been running a school for Children with Intellectual Disabilities in Vasai for over 15 years. This experience has not only strengthened our commitment but has also given us valuable insights into the lifelong care required for these special individuals.

We have chosen Mau, near Lonavala, which offers a calm and therapeutic atmosphere ideal for healing and well-being. The climate is pleasant throughout the year, and we have found strong goodwill and support from the local community, including caregivers and health professionals. This setting will allow our residents to thrive in a serene, inclusive, and supportive environment, far from the noise and stress of the city.
